University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview
In late 2007, Fairview Health Services will break ground on a freestanding home for University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital Fairview. Plans for the new building will create the best environment to receive and provide children’s healthcare. The new facility will be adjacent to and connect to University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview’s Riverside campus, on Riverside Avenue between 24th and 25th Avenue.
University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital will bring children’s and maternal services together into a single, family- and patient-centered environment. The building design will be a state-of-the-art academic medical center that allows the rapid transfer of research and education to patient care.
