Therapeutic play helps children cope with fears or concerns
The Child-Family Life specialists, through therapeutic play and child-appropriate hospital tours, help children and families cope answer questions. Medical play sessions for hospitalized children and their siblings help to increase their awareness of the medical environment and medical procedures. We offer hospitalized children activities that reduce stress, increase socialization and promote healing, growth and development.
Our specialists also teach families and caregivers how to help manage stress and/or anxiety regarding your child’s illness. They also help families cope with death, dying and bereavement issues.
